Our Process

Most meat snacks are churned out by big co-packers using imported beef. Not us. We’re a rancher-owned microprocessor. From raising the cattle to slaughter, processing, and crafting it’s all done right here by our team. South Dakota’s finest.

Biltong

Jerky is made from lean cuts, dehydrated until dry, then often soaked in preservatives and sugar. Our biltong? It’s made from marbled cuts, cured and air-dried-for a rich, tender, and flavorful bite.

Beef Sticks

Most brands make sticks out of trim and scraps from butchering. We use the whole cow! This includes NY Strip, Ribeye, Porterhouse.. every steak cut! After one taste, you will not go back to conventional sticks.

I started Farmer Bill's (named after my Grandfather) because the meat snacks in the industry were lacking. Jerky and beef sticks had a laundry list of ingredients you can't pronounce, and there's a lack of transparency regarding where the beef is sourced.

Modern food and farming is broken. Our nation has failed to steward the land, our animals, and our health. Depleted soil, mistreated animals, and obesity have become "normal" in our modern life. The good news is we can change that. By recovering the traditions of regenerative farming and land management, we can produce food that is not only healthier for you, but that restores the soil and natural ecology.

Regenerative farming, in short, is farming and ranching in harmony with nature. Every time you purchase a product from us, you fuel the movement and are a part of the solution. Healthy soil, happy animals, good food.
